Twenty-five BS Information Technology (BSIT) students from Bukidnon State University achieved competency levels after taking the Test of Practical Competency in Information Technology (TOPCIT) exam on April 23, 2024.
The TOPCIT exam is an assessment designed to evaluate the practical skills and competencies of IT students and professionals.
The results, released on June 6, have shown commendable performances from the BSIT students in their proficiency level and readiness to meet the demands of the IT industry.
Three students attained Competency Level 3, demonstrating advanced proficiency in IT skills. These students are Zsaffina Pearl C. Gepana, Salvador, 1 Merida Ligayao, and Marc Kenneth S. Verdugo.
Eighteen students achieved Competency Level 2. These students are Ofeliah Antoniette Flor M. Rubio, Noel M. Vista, Nimrod E. Paguta, Nicole R. Pasal, Michael Jun Baclay Caballes, Melany B. Villarico, Kirk John L. Sieras, John Clement R. Rubiato, Jhon Christian O. Bucio, Jhey Nan Jhon P. Lesion, Jeffrey Mati-Ong Sedoro, Jayson Licmoan Tadayca, Funny Grace Hilario, Djeikuje Nickolai Cordero Gacus, Andrew Kevin M. Abler, Amiel Jay Salazar Ocier, Almiko Jasper L. Caballes, and Aaron Rod Ongkiatco Corpuz.
Additionally, four students attained Competency Level 1. These students are Vince Art Malaque Burato, Sydney Jousef C. Villamor, Jeffrey Pitogo Cabaltera, and Charlotte Anne T. Nulo.
The preparation of these students was guided by Dr. Sales G. Aribe Jr., the Department Head of IT, and Raul D. Lecaros, a faculty member.
As BukSU continues to nurture the next generation of IT professionals who meet industry demands, the university remains committed to providing quality education and excellence.
