Bukidnon State University (BukSU) secured 4th place during the Philippine Association for State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) National Culture and Arts Festival (NCAF) 2024 Radio Drama Competition, representing Region 10.
Fourteen regions competed on April 25, 2024, in the host state university, Philippine Normal University, in Malate, Manila. The competition featured participation from 14 regions.
The competition was held at the Manila Broadcasting Company in Pasay City.
Dr. Chaseur Leo Vann Ontolan, the coach faculty member from BukSU’s Language and Letters Department mentored the radio drama team, comprised of Kent Johnson Yote, Bachelor of Arts in English Language student; John Brooze Sagayan, Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Science; Rezzian Jay Naquila, Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Social Studies; Edgar Momos Jr., Bachelor of Science in Development Communication; and Meca Simborio, Bachelor of Science in Development Communication. “This achievement adds another accolade to the team’s impressive track record, following their 2nd place win in the 2023 Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) Radio Drama Competition, where they secured a remarkable victory with a mere 1-point difference from the winning team. The team’s consistent success underscores their talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence in the field of radio drama,” Ontolan said.
