The Student Leadership and Development Unit (SLEDEVU) under the Office of the Vice President for Culture and the Arts, Sports, and Student Services (OVPCASSS) of Bukidnon State University hosted “Balik Tanaw 2024” on April 1-5, as part of the activities for the university’s centennial celebration.
Student organizations installed booths on the main campus that feature interactive activities and memorabilia highlighting BukSU’s past. Other activities include a leadership forum, a concert, a rave party, and the launching of the BukSU Centennial Song.
“’Balik Tanaw’ brings us to reconnect with our roots, to honor our tradition, and to celebrate our achievements. It is the time to come together as a community and to remember what makes us proud to be part of the BukSU family,” said University President, Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.
With the theme, “Reflecting on a century of transformational leadership,” “Balik Tanaw” invited alumni and students both at the main and satellite campuses to take part in honoring the university’s history and legacy.
One of the main highlights of the week-long activity was the Organizations Fair where all BukSU’s recognized campus clubs and organizations put up their booths offering fun activities giving a glimpsed of their own identities.
Guests from the University of Science and Technology in the Southern Philippines (USTP) crowded in the Fair with five member staff from their Office of the Student Affairs (OSA) and seven student leaders coming from their university student government.
