The Automotive Technology Department (ATD) at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) will conduct training sessions and workshops focused on automotive skills development for the employees, drivers, and technicians working under the Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB).
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between BukSU and PGB on March 26, 2024.
These sessions are tailored to equip PGB personnel, including employees, drivers, and technicians, with automotive servicing skills and to enhance their understanding of new vehicle technologies.
This initiative is part of ATD’s extension project, titled “Upscaling Work Productivity through Community Development on Preventive Maintenance Servicing and Diagnoses.” The goal is to establish a strong partnership among stakeholders by offering skills training to the beneficiaries.
According to the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO), the project is to “ensure that all transportation duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner, a proper checkup of the vehicle should be made. Likewise, competency in routine preventive maintenance will help preserve the vehicle in good running condition and ensure safe travel and transport of employees, officials, and supplies.”
The signing ceremony was attended by various key figures, including Bukidnon Governor Hon. Rogelio Neil P. Roque; Ms. Aida B. Loveres, Head of the PHRMO Department; Ms. June Yve T. Magno, Head of the Community Extension and Development Division (CEDD); Dr. Marilou O. Espina, Dean of BukSU’s College of Technologies; Dr. Rene M.
