Awe-struck by the gardens, the International Climate Change Psychologist of Germany Ms. Janna Hoppmann recognized Bukidnon State University’s Botanical Gardens as a “small paradise” during her visit on August 18, 2023.
Ms. Hoppmann stressed the magnificent role that botanical gardens have in influencing climate. She said this demonstrated the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between experts in fields such as psychology and botany to address climate change and environmental issues.
The international visitor also paid a courtesy visit to the University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol and to the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela under the direction of the International Affairs Director Dr. Rizza Consad, and the BGH Director Dr. Lesley C. Lubos. The visit suggested a commitment to foster international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of climate change and environmental science.
