LIBONA BUKIDNON – BukSU Libona Satellite Campus launched a computer literacy training program entitled “Navigation of Microsoft Office Application” on March 16, 2023.
The training program was specifically designed for the students to gain valuable fundamental knowledge, which was integral in enhancing their ability in using the computer and its applications. Moreover, this also enabled them to expand their horizons to learn skills, which they have not acquired in the classrooms because of the pandemic.
The satellite campus handed this opportunity, especially for the students to become computer proficient since the academic world was revolving around technology.
Mr. Fredelyn S. Into, ICT coordinator, spearheaded the said training. It was attended by the first-year students of Bachelor of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
After the preliminaries, Campus Head Dr. Neal Bryan L. Rendal highlighted in his speech the importance of the training program not only to the students’ academic journey but to their future as well.
Mr. Ryan L. Yorong, a graduate of Computer Engineering and a Master in Public Service Management was the resource speaker of the computer literacy training program.
He shared the fundamental knowledge of computer and coursed the students through the usage of the four Microsoft applications which are the Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher, including some of the online meeting platforms such as zoom and google meet. To ensure the application of knowledge gained from the training workshop, the students were then encouraged to avail the prepared comp-lab activities of the campus’ internet-ready computer laboratory.
