
Bukidnon State University (BukSU) reinforced its commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality assurance through its active participation in the 39th Association of Accredited Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) National Convention and General Assembly, held on March 24-26, 2027 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.
Higher education institutions (HEIs) from across the Philippines gathered for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices in accreditation and quality assurance systems.
Representing BukSU were faculty members and personnel from various colleges and offices: Dr. Hazel P. Agbayani (College of Nursing), Dr. Regie C. Medidas (College of Business), Dr. Jimmy B. Sabuero (College of Business, Baungon Satellite Campus), Dr. Jay Fie P. Luzano (College of Education), Dr. James Russo A. Taga (College of Arts and Sciences), Dr. Ronald A. Francisco (College of Education), Mr. Joseph L. Gelacio (College of Arts and Sciences/Quality Assurance Unit), Mr. Peter Joseph G. Rabanes (College of Technologies), and Ms. Astred Jill A. Catolpos (College of Arts and Sciences/Office of the President – Presidential Management Staff).
The convention included panel discussions on quality assurance, the presentation of new AACCUP accreditation indicators, and the election of AACCUP officers and members of the Board of Trustees.
According to the Office of the BukSU President, BukSU’s participation was made possible through the strong support of University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, who continues to advocate for excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness in the University’s academic and administrative systems.
The convention recognized HEIs that have excelled in quality assurance.
