Two students from the Secondary Laboratory School (SLS) qualified to compete in the Palarong Pambansa after winning gold medals in the Taekwondo (Kyorugi) competition at the Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) Meet in Kisolon, Sumilao, Bukidnon.

Kert Uree A. Fajardo won the Lightweight division, while Kert Adee A. Fajardo secured the Featherweight title.

The brothers advanced through their respective matches during the regional meet, earning qualification to represent Northern Mindanao in the Palarong Pambansa.

The Palarong Pambansa 2026 is scheduled for May 24–31 in Agusan del Sur.

“Winning in NMRAA was one of the best moments of my life, knowing that all my hard work finally paid off. I felt truly honored to represent my school and my city, and this experience inspired me to keep striving for excellence,” Kurt Uree said.

“Winning in the NMRAA was a very proud moment for me. I gave my best in every match and every training session way before the game. It is even more special because I get to qualify for the Palarong Pambansa together with my brother,” Kurt Adee said. (Jackie Lou C. Corbita/SLS Faculty)
