The Information Technology (IT) Department of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) officially deployed its fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) students to various Host Training Establishments (HTEs) in February 2026 as part of their On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.
The deployment activities were accompanied and supervised by Louie Jay S. Labastida, IT Internship Coordinator, Dr. Rozanne Tuesday G. Flores, IT Coordinator, and Dr. Marilou O. Espina, EMC Internship Coordinator, ensuring proper coordination with partner companies and smooth endorsement of the student interns.
On February 9, 2026, IT students were deployed to several companies in Cagayan de Oro City, including Concentrix, Datalogix Solutions Corporation, Logicbase Interactive Enterprises, Innovuze Solutions Inc., Syntactics, Inc., and WELA.
Deployment continued on February 10, 2026, with students assigned to Infinity Hub and Mugna Tech in Davao City. On February 11, 2026, a large group of IT interns was deployed to various government and private offices in Malaybalay City, including the City Government of Malaybalay, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Provincial Government Offices, Department of Education (DepEd), Project Moonshot IT Solutions, and BUGEMCO. Additional students were deployed on February 13, 2026, to the Data Center and Information Unit of BukSU in Malaybalay City and to M Montesclaros Holdings Inc. in Valencia City.
Meanwhile, BSEMC students were deployed from February 6–9, 2026, to Emottoons Animation Studio in Lapu-Lapu City. On February 9, 2026, other BSEMC students were assigned to Hope Channel in Cagayan de Oro City, followed by deployment to Infinity Hub in Davao City on February 10, 2026. Additional BSEMC interns began their training with Rocketsheep Studio and Tuldok Animation Studios through online arrangements on February 11, 2026, and at GridLock Games in Pasig City from February 12–14, 2026.
To further ensure the welfare and safety of the student interns, the Internship Coordinators also conducted visits and inspections of the students’ boarding houses. The visitations focused on checking the safety of the surroundings, living conditions, and overall environment to ensure that students are secure and well-accommodated throughout their internship period.
The deployment marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of BukSU’s IT and EMC students, providing them with valuable industry exposure while maintaining strong guidance and support from the University. (Louie Jay S. Labastida, IT Internship Coordinator)
