Bukidnon State University (BukSU) bolstered its internationalization efforts and alumni support during a four-day diplomatic and academic visit to Kun Shan University (KSU) in Taiwan from December 9 to 12, 2025.
Led by Alumni Relations Unit Head Katrina Faith M. Melig, who focused on monitoring BukSU graduates currently enrolled in two-year Master’s degree programs at KSU under the INTENSE–INTACT scholarship program.
This visit highlights BukSU’s dedication to nurturing alumni success and expanding global opportunities for our graduates, and the exposure helped equip students with the credentials needed for the global workforce.
BukSU joined a high-level Philippine delegation that included 11 other major institutions.
The multi-university cohort participated in the Taiwan–Philippines University Education Exchange Workshop, a bilateral forum aimed at increasing student mobility and academic research partnerships.
During the visit, representatives engaged in Mandarin language teaching methodologies and received orientation on the Yushan Mandarin Online Resources, which served as digital tools designed to enhance language education.
The itinerary also included sessions on culturally responsive language education, guided activities exploring Taiwanese traditions to better understand international learning environments, and strategic meetings with KSU officials to ensure the continued welfare and academic progress of Filipino scholars.
The university emphasized that these international milestones are part of a broader strategy to provide graduating students with clear pathways to global employment and advanced studies abroad. (Katrina Faith M. Melig/Alumni Relations Unit Head )
