Multiple categories of the Primus Leaders’ Tourney produced national awardees from Bukidnon State University College of Nursing during the 12th Philippines I Transform! Leaders Convention (PITLC), including distinctions earned by students who took part in activities held November 14–18, 2025, at the DepEd Teachers Camp in Baguio City.

The event featured plenary sessions and collaborative engagements aligned with the theme “Transforming From Ridge to Reef, Saving Our Planet.”

The awarding ceremony took place November 17 at Benitez Hall, where participants from various regions were recognized for their performance in youth and mentor classifications. The Primus Leaders’ Tourney and SDG Fest served as central components of the national gathering.

BukSU College of Nursing student Raymond Joseph Normor received citations in several youth divisions. He was named Most Outstanding Citizen Youth – Male Category, Most Outstanding Solid Group for Youth, and Best Solid Group Cheers and Yells for Youth. Organizers cited his contributions within the designated youth activities of the convention.

Another BukSU CON delegate, Junn Llenard Pancho, secured 2nd Place in the National Primus Youth Tourney On-The-Spot Extemporaneous Speaking Competition. The contest involved timed delivery of a topic provided on-site, and he placed among delegates representing different parts of the Philippines.

Faculty recognitions were also part of the event. BukSU faculty member Dr. Jo B. Un received distinctions for Most Outstanding Solid Group Cheers and Yells for Mentor and Most Outstanding Group for Mentors. She also placed 2nd as Winning Entry Coach for On-The-Spot Extemporaneous Speaking. Her involvement covered coaching duties for student participants preparing for the tourney.

The PITLC’s annual program convenes youth leaders from across the country for activities intended to measure leadership growth through structured sessions and group-based work. The 2025 edition continued this format, and the Primus segments contributed to the evaluation of participants’ engagement.

The 12th PITLC concluded its activities after five days of sessions, competitions, and group events, with participants from higher education institutions and youth organizations taking part in the program. (Dr. Lharra Mae C. Postrano/ Faculty member, College of Nursing)
