Ahead of the rollout of Bukidnon State University’s redesigned website, college secretaries from the main campus took part in a website management training on November 18, 2025, to enable each college to oversee updates on its assigned section.
The session, organized by the university’s Information Unit, introduced participants to content updating processes, page management tools, and coordination workflows in preparation for the website’s launch.
“Each college will maintain its own dedicated section; the accuracy and timeliness of the information published becomes a shared responsibility,” said Information Unit Head Mr. Rodrigo E. Bolivar II.
“Colleges are the primary source of updated information about their programs, schedules, faculty profiles, research outputs, and student activities. When colleges update their content themselves, it ensures that information is current and reflects the most recent developments. Empowering each college to update its own page promotes efficiency, ownership, and accountability,” he explained.
“Our goal is clear: to build a unified, credible, and consistently updated digital platform that accurately reflects the strengths and identity of each college, and of Bukidnon State University as a whole,” he added.
IU’s website developer John Dale S. Belderol facilitated the workshop by demonstrating how to create, edit, and export pages, manage Custom Post Types (CPTs), and upload images. Participants were introduced to the process of populating subsites under the new structure.
Dr. Fatima Tanzo, department head of the College of Nursing, noted the website’s important role in streamlining the compilation of documented evidence, which is an important requirement for accreditation.
Atty. Januaree Ann S. Llorico, department head of the College of Law, highlighted her personal achievement in unlocking image editing skills during the session.
College of Medicine assistant professor Dr. Stephen RB Sapiera said that the user interface of the future website looks trendy and modern.
The Information Unit plans to extend the website management training to include personnel from the BukSU satellite campuses in 2026, ensuring a cohesive and standardized digital presence across the entire university system.
