
Faculty members from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta’s (UMY) Faculty of Engineering in Indonesia started a training series with Bukidnon State University’s (BukSU) Information Technology (IT) Department on November 12, 2025, joining 185 UMY students and 150 BukSU students in a Joint Online Classes and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program.
The program is organized by BukSU’s International Affairs and Linkages Unit and the Open and Distance e-Learning Unit. According to the IT Department, the initiative is set to run until December 10, 2025, and is designed to support shared learning and knowledge exchange across institutions.
During the first set of learning activities, BukSU IT faculty facilitated three topics aligned with the Cisco Certified Network Associate curriculum: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation; Big Data and Business Analytics; and Artificial Intelligence Governance.
BukSU President Joy M. Mirasol said the program connects Bukidnon and Yogyakarta through global understanding, shared learning, and innovation.
Meanwhile, Rizal Yaya, director of UMY’s Global Partnership and Employability Directorate, conveyed appreciation for BukSU’s collaboration and noted interest in continuing academic engagement between the universities.
