BukSU Lantapan Students Present Entrepreneurial Concepts at ENEDA National Conference

The ENEDA National Conference 2025 provided Bukidnon State University’s (BukSU) Lantapan Campus students with an opportunity to test entrepreneurial concepts and present them during the three-day gathering in Cebu City from September 17-19.

Second-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students Jeza Mayeth V. Villarico, Christian Rey Tamula, and Fiona Marie A. Puno represented BukSU in the Business Plan Competition, where they presented business concepts before judges and peers. The competition encourages the development of innovative ideas, fosters dialogue on entrepreneurship and tourism, and exposes participants to real-world pitching and evaluation processes.

The conference, organized by the Entrepreneurship Educators Association of the Philippines (ENEDA), carried the theme, “The Triple Power of Creative Entrepreneurship in Nation-Building: Design, Disrupt, Deliver.”

During the event, Villarico was elected Board Director for the Mindanao Chapter for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, giving her representation on the ENEDA board.

BukSU students also joined the Hackathon Workshop, which involved team-based problem-solving. Lantapan Campus teams placed first, second, and third in the activity.

The program concluded with industry and cultural tours in Cebu. Delegates visited Magellan’s Cross, the National Museum, and Ceramikhaus, as well as Profood International Corporation and Among Balay, where they observed production processes and sustainability practices.

According to organizers, the ENEDA National Conference aims to equip educators with tools and strategies for teaching creativity and entrepreneurship, enable students to pitch business ideas through competitions, promote collaboration among stakeholders, encourage real-world learning through industry visits, and foster awareness and innovation within the creative economy.

“The success of Bukidnon State University – Lantapan Campus at the ENEDA National Conference is a testament to the talent, hard work, and dedication of our students and faculty,” said BukSU-Lantapan Campus Head, Dr. Shella Amor C. Monsanto. “It highlights the growing impact of our university in the entrepreneurial and business landscape, and serves as an inspiration for future generations of students to continue striving for excellence.

“We are immensely proud of our students and their accomplishments, and we look forward to seeing more remarkable achievements from them as they continue their academic and professional journeys,” Monsanto added.

BukSU-Lantapan’s delegation was accompanied by Program Chair Jorge Martin D. Laya, with administrative support from University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol and Satellite Campuses Director Dr. Albert A. Villanca. The Local Government Unit of Lantapan, under Mayor Ricky James Balansag, also provided assistance. (Dr. Shella Amor C.
