
The National Association of SUC Secretaries, Inc. (NASUCS) recently held its NASUCS 2024 Conference and General Assembly, where Bukidnon State University’s Office of the Board Secretary (BukSU-OBS) was recognized for its exemplary practices on October 2-4, 2024.
The conference convened at Hue Hotels and Resorts Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, gathering SUC Board Secretaries and Staff from across the country. The theme, “Secretaries-in-Action: Challenges and Transformations,” provided a platform for discussions on the evolving role of board secretaries and their contributions to institutional governance.
BukSU was represented by Board Secretary and current Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) Mr. Dante S. Victoria Jr.; Danielle Blanca O. Mañacap, Board Secretary I; and Crystal Kay G. Pradia, Administrative Assistant III.
VPAF Victoria, Jr., as an invited resource speaker of the conference, shared the office’s best practices in several key areas, including the office’s approach to preparing board meeting agendas, the conduct of board meetings with a focus on efficiency, the dissemination of status updates on matters presented to the board, document control and management, and commitment to compliance with COA auditing rules and regulations.
