The Human Resources and Management Unit of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) conducted an onboarding program for the newly hired contract of service (COS) employees for the 1st semester of CY 2024 on July 17, 2024, at the 4th floor Conference Hall, Research and Extension Building, Bukidnon State University.
A total of 45 non-teaching employees coming from the different units and offices of the main and satellite campuses were oriented on the rules and policies governing BukSU systems and practices, including the Daily Time Record (DTR), payroll requirements and schedule, overtime and compensatory time off, office rules and reminders, and stress management.
The onboarding program is designed to ensure a seamless transition and integration into the BukSU workforce community. This initiative aims to enhance understanding and compliance with institutional policies, promote a positive work environment, support employee well-being, and increase productivity and engagement.

“By covering essential topics, we equip new employees with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their roles. This comprehensive approach helps new hires become productive, engaged, and satisfied members of our workforce, ultimately contributing to the university’s overall success and growth,” HRMU-Learning and Development Chief and HRMO III Dr. Janne Claudian C. Salvaña said.
“COS employees will have a clear understanding of BukSU’s procedures, policies, and expectations, resulting in improved compliance and productivity. This onboarding program will foster a positive work environment, helping new employees integrate smoothly and feel valued as part of the BukSU community,” he added. (BukSU-Information Unit)
