MALAYBALAY CITY – In line with CMO 09 s. 2013, which establishes the Enhanced Policies and Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services, the creation of the Office of the Vice President for Culture, Arts, Sports, and Student Services has been implemented.
Dr. Lincoln V. Tan has been officially designated as the Vice President for Culture, Arts, Sports, and Student Serv ices, as outlined in Board Resolution No. 2526 s. 2023, showcasing the support and recognition of the institution’s governing body.
This appointment has been further reaffirmed and endorsed by the Office of the President through Memorandum No. 99 s. 2023, issued on May 2, 2023, emphasizing the Vice President’s crucial role in fostering a vibrant and enriching environment for the students.
This new office holds the responsibility of overseeing and improving various aspects of student affairs and services within the institution.
Dr. Anally A. Villanca was also the department head of the OVPCASSS management staff.
The OVPCASSS comprised six units, each with its own specific focus. Dr. Lincoln V. Tan (Concurrent Director) will lead the Sports, Arts, and Culture Development Unit; Dr. Lorenzo B. Dinlayan III for the Student Leadership and Development Unit; Dr. Xyle Fe A. Verbal for the Student Welfare and Engagement Unit; Ms. Katrina Faith M. Melig as Department Head of the Alumni Relations; Dr. Mariza P. Manlagaylay for the Guidance and Counseling Services Unit; Dr. Ma. Arlene C. Diana (University Physician) for the Medical Clinic; and Dr. Marivic H. Uygioco (Dentist) for the Dental Clinic.
Each unit has its own sub-units and is supported by a dedicated team of staff members, ensuring the efficient functioning of the office.
With the combined efforts of these units and their staff, Dr. Lincoln V. Tan, VPCASSS, will lead and coordinate various initiatives, programs, and activities aimed at promoting the cultural, artistic, and athletic growth of the students. Additionally, the office will provide essential support services to cater to the diverse needs of the student body.
