MALAYBALAY CITY – ThreeBukidnon State University personnel bag awards during the 3rd International Research Summit and 50th Annual National Conference of the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (PACSB) held at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on April 20-21, 2023.
Dr. Neal Bryan L. Rendal, Campus In-Charge of BukSU Libona Satellite Campus, was awarded as the Best Presenter and Ms. Jeffamae Gelacio, Accountancy Faculty of BukSU main campus, received the Best Paper award on Tract 2: Human Resource Management.
Dr. Jimmy B. Sabuero, Faculty of BukSU Baungon Satellite Campus, also received the Best Paper Award on Tract 4: Strategic Management.
BukSU was also given recognition for having the biggest delegation during the conference with 33 out of 301 attendees. There were 15 faculty from the Main Campus College of Business and 18 from the satellite campuses who participated during the conference.
The research presentation was categorized into five tracts:
Tract 1: Marketing and Entrepreneurship with fourteen presenters; Tract 2: Accounting, Finance and Economics with eleven presenters; Tract 3: Human Resource Management with eleven presenters; Tract 4: Strategic Management with fourteen presenters; and Tract 5: General Management with fourteen presenters.
In his message, Hon. Peter M. Unabia, Governor of the Misamis Oriental, said that PACSB showed the commitment to provide competent and reliable business education in the country, ensuring that quality business education is being delivered to students of member schools in pursuance to the goal of producing future stalwarts in the field of business.
Dr. Venus M. Empuerto, President of PACSB, University of Southern Philippines Foundation also highlighted its hopes, desires, and dreams to move forward in promoting and strengthening business education not just in the country but with the pursuit to continue expanding globally.
The conference was in partnership with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and Capitol University (CU).
The event focused on the theme: “PACSB @ 60: Strengthening Business Education through the Years.” This gave an opportunity to various educators and business leaders to grow academically and professionally. Through this conference, their professional development was enhanced. Additionally, it offers a venue for networking with peers from different business schools and sectors, encouraging cooperation and the exchange of best practices.
