MALAYBALAY CITY – Mindanao State University Marawi Senior High SchoolteamvisitedBukidnonState University to benchmark on Senior High Laboratory School curriculum, academic policies, and administration on January 25, 2023.
BukSU was one of their choices for benchmarking activity as MSU Marawi Senior High School aimed to continuously develop their school in terms of curriculum, academic policies and administration.
Ms. Desiree A. Barroso, BukSU SSL Principal, with the faculty, welcomed the MSU Marawi Senior High School faculty and staff. This initiative geared the SSL to expose their hardworking chairpersons, faculty and administrative staff to the best practices in terms of the Senior High School curriculum, academic and enrolment management, administrative policies and other relevant aspects in the operation of SHS.
The visitors then proceeded to the University Board Room for conference in regards to the operation of the Senior High School, especially on its best practices.
Ms. Barroso shared the learning modality of SSL in the current setting which is the Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) learning modality. She also mentioned that Wednesdays are spent for Capability Building Activities for faculty and school activities for students.
Ms. Junaina M. Dimalna, the MSU Marawi SHS Principal, commended the university SSL operation specifically on the activities conducted and funds used, processes on the selection and enrolment of SHS students, participation of students in extra-curricular activities, active involvement of parents and other stakeholders, plantilla positions provided for the faculty, and the support of the school in developing students holistically through varied activities. Generally, the benchmarking activity brought learning not only to the visiting school but also to the BukSU SSL. (Ms Jackie Lou C. Corbita/SSL Faculty)
