BukSU COT seeks to internationalize technical competency

MALAYBALAY CITY – Driven by its mission to internationalize its technical competency, the College of Technologies has spearheaded its 1st International Affairs event with the theme, ACT-IT: Adapting to Change through Innovation and Transformation on May 25, 2022.

There were 130 students and faculty from BS Automotive Technology, BS Electronics Technology, BS Information Technology, BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing and BS Food Technology who participated in the said event.

The lecture was designed to update the students and the faculty with the current trends in IT and related fields, be informed with the practical applications, and gain knowledge on transforming industries.

Through the partnership with the International Affairs Unit of BukSU, this lecture was graced by two of educators from Universitas Muria Kudus, Indonesia – Ms. Ratri Rahmawati who shared about Research-based Education for Boosting Innovation and Technologies, and Ms. Puput Iin Qur’aini who shared about Biomedical application of technology. Both speakers were given the opportunity to share their expertise in their respective fields. The participants were likewise given the opportunity to ask questions.

Dr. Anand Nayyar, a well known academian, researcher, scientist, innovator, inventor, and orator from Duy Tan University in Da Nang, Vietnam, graced the afternoon session with his presentation about Digital Twins and its application to the different industries.

The students and the faculty were also given the chance to present their ideas on the application of the Digital Twin technology and Dr. Nayyar gladly presented his thoughts and also offered partnership and help with students interested to pursue this field of study. (Raul Lecaros, IT)
