

MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) Bukidnon State University launched its own digital mini-documentary series dubbed BukSU TV on April 28, 2021 to showcase its current achievements and accomplishments.
Hosted by television broadcaster Rod Bolivar, the series’ first season includes the maiden episode presenting BukSU’s plans and accomplishments as a university under the administration of the current president Dr. Oscar B. Cabańelez.
Dr. Cabańelez spoke during the launch of BukSU TV at the university’s official radio program, BukSU Updates.
The second episode, which aired on May 5, 2021 presented the university’s response to the need for continuing education amidst the pandemic with the establishment of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL). Dr. Rizza R. Consad, CITL Director, explained the center’s roles and initiatives to address current education challenges.
BukSU TV featured the launching of the BukSU Botanical Gardens and Herbarium in the third episode. Dr. Lesley C. Lubos, BGH Director, cited the reasons behind and the aspirations for the Botanical Gardens and Herbarium.
A special episode on BukSU’s Implementation of the Free Higher Education Act or R.A. 10931 was featured as the fourth episode. The episode was released on May 28, 2021, in time for the visit of Commission on Higher Education Chair J. Prospero De Vera III to BukSU’s main campus.
More episodes were slated for the series’ first season including the College of Nursing’s new Academic and Health Services Building and their implementation of the Limited Face to Face classes. Another episode is also scheduled on the Information Technology support of the University for Flexible learning and aspirations for Smart Campus, the College of Education’s transfer to the Casisang Annex Campus, and the current feats of the university in research, extension, and innovations.
BukSU TV’s production team includes presenter Mr. Rod Bolivar, scriptwriter Mr. Vincent Jhun Dorias, graphic artist Mr. Deyrold Casinabe, musical scorer George Gorby Rubio, and videographer/editor Mr. Christopher P.
