






MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) Commission on Higher Education Chair J. Prospero E. De Vera III visited Bukidnon State University on May 28 to 29, 2021 to promote quality tertiary education despite the pandemic, monitor the readiness and compliance of the university for the conduct of Limited Face to Face Learning of the College of Nursing and oversee the implementation of RA 10931 or the Free Higher Education Act in BukSU.
Since the first semester of Academic Year 2018-2019, BukSU has received a total of P728.3 million from the Commission on Higher Education for the Free Higher Education, Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and other student assistance programs. Every semester, there is an average of 25.01 percent or 3,179 students of BukSU who are grantees of the TES.
Chair De Vera’s university visit was marked by arrival birthday greetings late afternoon on May 28 until the morning of May 29 with his Padyak para sa Edukasyon from the BukSU Main Campus in Malaybalay City to the Central Mindanao University in Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon.
