(AACCUP) reaffirmed Level IV Status for Bukidnon State University’s (BukSU) Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling after officially issuing a five-year accreditation extension for the graduate program until June 15, 2031.
The board certified BukSU’s full compliance with mandatory quality assurance recommendations across graduate-level instruction, research productivity, and community extension.
AACCUP Executive Director Dr. Milabel E. Ho notified BukSU, confirming that the graduate degree program addressed all prior technical review recommendations and sustained compliance with the agency’s criteria for advanced higher education programs.
Level IV status represents one of the highest levels of academic accreditation awarded by AACCUP to state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the Philippines.
“We are deeply honored to have achieved Level IV Accreditation for the MA in Guidance and Counseling Program—a milestone that, while never easy to attain, reflects the dedication, commitment, and collective effort of our faculty and students,” said Program Chairperson Dr. Mariza P. Manlagaylay.
Manlagaylay added that the status validates the program’s curriculum quality while serving as a catalyst for continuous improvement to support the expanding graduate student cohort.
She also linked the quality assurance milestone to professional licensure outcomes, citing the performance of recent graduates in the August 2026 Guidance Counselors Licensure Examination.
“Their achievement stands as a testament to the program’s impact, empowering students who want to make a difference in the lives of those who seek help, guidance, and support,” she said. (BukSU – Information Unit)
