Faculty members of the Automotive Technology Department (ATD) of Bukidnon State University recorded a 100% passing rate in the Automotive Servicing National Certificate Level I (NC I) and Automotive Servicing National Certificate Level II (NC II) Engine Repair competency assessments conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The NC I assessment was conducted on Jan. 30, 2026, while the NC II Engine Repair assessment took place on May 16, 2026, in Sudapin, Kidapawan, Cotabato.
The group was led by ATD Head Dr. Rene M. Chavez, together with faculty members Nicolas S. Carisosa Jr., Rodulfo S. Oco Jr., Jeston D. Delos Reyes, Robert John Lico-an, and Laboratory Technician Raymund T. Agbu.
The certification results verified the faculty members’ competencies in diagnosing, servicing and repairing automotive systems based on TESDA standards.
The department said the completion of the competency assessments forms part of its continuing efforts in professional development, technical training and lifelong learning in automotive technology.
According to Chavez, ATD’s instructors demonstrated both academic qualifications and technical skills relevant to automotive servicing and engine repair through the TESDA assessments.
