Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has officially launched a comprehensive brand refresh, marking a shift in how the institution presents itself to stakeholders within the academic sector and beyond.
According to Information Unit Head Rodrigo E. Bolivar II, the initiative was more than two years in the making, driven by the need to unify the university’s identity in an increasingly competitive higher education environment.
“The turning point came when we saw how competitive higher education had become. With more than 2,000 institutions in the country and millions of students deciding where to enroll, we knew BukSU needed a clear and unified identity that would distinguish us from others,” he said.
University officials said the effort required aligning the institution’s visual and messaging systems with its current trajectory while acknowledging its more than 100-year history.
“Our Brand Book describes it as a guide to preserving tradition and driving innovation. That balance allows us to respect our roots while aligning with SMART BukSU and our vision of producing innovative and ethical leaders,” Bolivar said.
The refresh establishes a structured identity system designed to standardize communications across campuses and academic units, positioning BukSU with a cohesive presence in both national and international contexts. (Menard L. Labor, Information Unit Intern)
