Students and officials from educational institutions in Misamis Oriental and Surigao del Sur conducted benchmarking activities at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) to understand and adopt its practices across different operational domains.
On February 29, 2024, students from Tagoloan Community College (TCC), specifically enrolled in the College of Library and Information Science, visited BukSU’s Library for an educational tour. The primary objective was to gain insights into the real-time Learning Commons and the utilization of virtual and Artificial Intelligence within the BukSU Library.
“This benchmarking and observation will introduce students to the various virtual and Artificial Intelligence employed [at the BukSU Library]. Exploring the various components of this learning commons is crucial because it allows students to put what they have learned in school into practice,” said TCC faculty Ms. Jessica D. Caubat.
Meanwhile, on March 1, officials from North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur, engaged with the heads of different units and offices at BukSU to gain insights and best practices for successful operations.
The benchmarked units included the Office of the Support Staff to the University President, the Information and Communications Technology Unit, the Information Unit, the Legal Unit, and the Internal Audit Unit. This collaborative effort aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote continuous improvement within educational institutions. (BukSU-Information Unit)
