BukSU kicks off talks with Camosun College for Partnership

In a collaboration meeting with the university’s key academic officials, Camosun College representative, Ms. Jennifer Montero, introduced the Canadian College’s programs and elaborated the possible engagements for both institutions.

The event took place in Lawang Graduate Studies on February 16, 2024, where consultation with students and faculty sessions were conducted.

The purpose of the meeting is to foster potential cooperative initiatives, facilitate a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices, and engage in constructive discussions regarding BukSU’s Internationalization (IZN) Framework. (BukSU-Information Unit)

BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol anticipates that this collaboration will lead to policy formulation for future IZN alliances, including academic and cultural exchanges for both students and faculty from both institutions.

“We recognize the importance of expanding our international presence, and your expertise and partnership are invaluable in helping us achieve this goal. We look forward to fruitful discussions and productive outcomes that will benefit both institutions,” Mirasol said.

Camosun College is a public academic institution where it served a learning hub for 1,700+ international students with 70+ nationalities offering 160 programs of which BukSU can invest students and faculty for study and teaching exchange programs.

Through this collaboration, BukSU is looking at the possible linkages with Camosun College in the fields of Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Health and Human Services, Sports and Exercise Education, Business Graduates, and Post-degree Diplomas.
