New University Cafeteria Opens at BukSU

For decades, the basement of the College of Public Administration and Governance building served as Bukidnon State University’s food hub. Between classes, students lined up at food stalls, found seats where they could, and shared meals in a place that became part of daily campus life.

Today, that familiar routine has a new home.

BukSU has opened its new University Cafeteria, relocating campus dining services to the University’s former covered court.

The facility provides an open-air dining space where students, faculty members, staff, and visitors can enjoy meals or spend time between classes.

The cafeteria houses six full-meal concessionaires, 11 snack and light-meal concessionaires, and three beverage concessionaires. A shared kitchen supports concessionaire operations, while accessible restrooms and handwashing stations are available for customers.

“We aim to provide a dining facility that is well-managed, responsive to the needs of our stakeholders, and supportive of the university’s long-term sustainability,” said Vice President for Administration and Finance Dante S. Victoria Jr.

Dr. Isa Pab Geene A. Pagud, director of the Business Affairs Office, said the University established the cafeteria as a permanent and centralized dining facility for the University community.

“This milestone reflects the university’s commitment to creating a campus environment that promotes convenience, inclusivity, health, and well-being while enhancing the overall campus experience,” Pagud said. (BukSU – Information Unit)
