Bukidnon State University (BukSU) completed its annual Internal Quality Audit (IQA) after reviewing operational processes and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards across the university’s delivery units.
The audit examined process effectiveness and identified opportunities for continual improvement.
According to Dr. Jesus B. Juevesano, Program Chair for International Standard and Quality Management System (ISO), who led the IQA Team, the audit findings will serve as inputs for improving institutional performance and supporting the delivery of efficient, responsive, and high-quality services to stakeholders.
The internal audit is part of BukSU’s Quality Management System. The University Management Committee conducts regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO standards, university policies, and regulatory requirements.
Meanwhile, the Quality Assurance Unit oversees initiatives that support continual improvement and alignment with national and international quality standards.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management systems that requires organizations to conduct internal audits to determine whether their systems conform to established requirements and are effectively implemented.
BukSU received its initial ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2017, before transitioning to ISO 9001:2015 in 2018.
