The Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Information Unit (IU), in coordination with the Office of the President (OP) University Ambassadors Program, conducted a media workshop to strengthen institutional branding and digital storytelling for students on May 14, 2026, at Lawang, University Library.
The training was focused on the fundamentals of photography, basic layout and graphic design, and social media content planning.
The initiative formed part of BukSU’s ongoing brand identity program, designed to ensure that the university’s public image remains consistent, professional, and engaging across all digital and print platforms.
“The workshop served as a capacity-building session to transform student ambassadors into effective brand advocates,” Rodrigo E. Bolivar II, Information Unit Head, said in his message.
The workshop covered areas on training on photographic composition and lighting to capture high-quality campus imagery, layout principles to ensure all promotional materials align with the university’s official color schemes and typography, and practices for social media engagement focused on planning its content.
“Empowering you (ambassadors) ensures that its brand is a lived experience among students,” Bolivar added.
“Equipping them with these skills ensures that every post, photo, and design reinforces the prestige and values of Bukidnon State University,” Ms. Christie M. Esperon, Head of the Presidential External Affairs and Public Relations.
The ambassadors underwent hands-on applications and practiced real-time content creation. (BukSU – Information Unit)
