






The Bukidnon State University (BukSU) College of Education Secondary Education Department (COE-SED) conducted a three-day training series for military instructors at Camp Osito D. Bahian, with the extension project, titled “Retooling the 4th Infantry Division Philippine Army Instructors in Functional Literacy, Teaching Pedagogies, and Research,” held on May 4-6, 2026, at the 4th Division Mentor Training School (4DTS).
The initiative implemented during the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year focusing on upgrading the teaching capabilities of Philippine Army instructors.
The curriculum specifically targets three core areas on enhancing communication and comprehension skills, introducing modern instructional strategies and classroom management, and developing skills for data-driven academic inquiry.
The 4DTS leadership was led by COL Noel C. Calimquim INF (GSC) PA, Commandant, and LTC Eduardo A. Precioso Jr (INF) PA, Assistant Commandant, along with the school’s operations and logistics officers.
