The College of Education and the College of Technologies of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) have been shortlisted for the innovation project and were among the Top 10 finalists for the upcoming Huddle, Analyze, Build, Innovate (HABI) 4.0 Innovations Workshop, scheduled on April 28, 2026.
The HABI 4.0 Innovations Workshop, a national initiative spearheaded by leading innovation and education advocates in the Philippines, aims to gather promising student innovators to present solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 and Education 4.0 frameworks.
The team was composed of students from different academic programs.
Bachelor of Information Technology students John Pruds B. Colot and Erwin C. Lanzaderas, and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English student Carryle Redoble collaborated to integrate technology and education.
Coached by Dr. Jovelin Lapates and Dr. Gem Aiah Bolivia-Blanco, the team developed a concept that earned recognition at the national level.
Being part of the Top 10 placed BukSU among the country’s most competitive institutions in terms of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
According to university representatives, this milestone underscores BukSU’s commitment to fostering research, innovation, and excellence in teacher education and technology integration. It also demonstrates how students, when supported by strong mentorship and institutional backing, can compete on a national stage.
“This achievement not only highlights the students’ capabilities but also reinforces BukSU’s role as a nurturing ground for future educators and innovators who are ready to contribute meaningfully to national development.
