
The Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BS EMC) program of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has attained Level I Accredited Status from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), valid from September 16, 2025 to September 15, 2028.
The First Survey Visit was conducted on September 8–12, 2025, during which a comprehensive evaluation was carried out. The assessment covered key areas of instruction, faculty qualifications, research, extension services, facilities, and internal quality assurance systems, ensuring alignment with national standards of academic excellence.
The accreditation team was led by Professor Maribel T. Tacla. Along with her were Professor Rosanna S. Agup and Ms. Vilma L. De Gusman, went through the areas.
The University and the Information Technology Department, under the guidance of the institution’s Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) local task force, ensured the completion of documentary requirements and evaluation processes.
According to the IT Department, the achievement mirrored the collective effort of the entire BukSU community, including students, alumni, parents, extension partners, industry collaborators, and various university units.
“The Level I Accreditation served as a foundation for continuous quality improvement and reinforced BukSU’s commitment to delivering globally competitive, industry-relevant, and innovative academic programs in entertainment and multimedia computing,” the Department shared.
