Vince Christian L. Albert, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, won the silver medal in the Gi event during the Cebu International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026 on March 8, 2026, at the GMall Cebu Atrium in Cebu City.
The championship became an avenue for practitioners to test their skill, discipline, and preparation in a high-level competition setting.
Albert’s silver-medal finish showed grit, focus, and technical ability against a strong field of competitors, also reflecting the kind of discipline needed to meet the demands of both academic life and competitive sports.
The IT Department congratulates Albert on his feat. “His achievement also highlights the talent and determination of BukSU students in fields beyond the classroom.
