
A Bukidnon State University (BukSU) automotive graduate shared his professional experience with Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology students during a seminar held March 11, 2026, at the Automotive Laboratory Building.
The activity, titled “Seminar on Industry Readiness, Career Opportunities, and Employment: Shaping the Future of Automotive Employment,” featured Nelson A. Cruta, a BukSU Automotive alumnus who now works as a Heavy Equipment General Technician at Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Company Limited.
During the session, Cruta discussed his career path from training in the university’s automotive laboratories to employment in the Middle East’s industrial sector. He also presented insights on technical skills, workplace conduct, and conditions associated with employment overseas.
The seminar gathered Automotive Technology students and faculty members and focused on preparing participants for employment in the automotive sector. Topics included industry requirements, career opportunities, and workforce expectations in international markets.
Cruta spoke about the role of discipline, adaptability, continuous learning, and professional interest in Automotive Technology careers. He also addressed developments in automotive innovation, the demand for technicians abroad, and steps students may take to compete in international employment settings.
