The College of Education – Secondary Education Department (COE SED) of Bukidnon State University (BUKSU) continued to strengthen its collaboration with the 4th Division Training School (4DTS) of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, through the extension project titled “Retooling the 4th Infantry Division Philippine Army Instructors in Functional Literacy, Teaching Pedagogies, and Research.”
The project was implemented during the first semester of Academic Year 2025–2026, with sessions held on November 27-29, 2025, at the 4DTS located in Camp Osito D. Bahian, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Over the 2 days, the training focused on the following key areas:
Functional Communication: AI Tools for Teaching and Learning (Part 1 & 2), With Zoom/Google Meet; Teaching Pedagogies: Introduction to Blended Learning; Research: Needs Assessment Tools (Developing Research Instruments), Contents of a Publishable Research Paper, Formulating a Research Title, Research Design and Data Analysis, Writing an Abstract, In-text Citation and Referencing, and Writing the Parts of the Research Proposal (Introduction & Methods)
