Bukidnon State University (BukSU) is reinforcing its dedication to fostering research excellence and intellectual property development with the approval of two key innovation-related policies.
The Board of Regents (BOR), through Resolution No. 3032, Series of 2025, has officially approved the Patent Drafter’s Honorarium. This new policy acknowledges and rewards the expertise of individuals who are crucial in drafting high-quality patent applications. The honorarium is designed to recognize the technical skill and hard work required to translate innovative ideas into legally sound documents.
This new measure complements the recently announced Increased Innovation Creators’ Incentives, which was also approved under the same BOR resolution. This policy aims to further motivate faculty, researchers, and students at BukSU to create new technologies, systems, and creative works.
Together, these two policies create a more comprehensive support system for innovators. The university is calling on all its stakeholders to take an active role in developing research with real-world applications, assuring them that the institution has put mechanisms in place to both support and reward their efforts.
