Bukidnon State University (BukSU) inaugurated its new University Board Room on July 17, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the 4th Floor Finance Building, attended by BukSU’s top management and members of the Board of Regents.
Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, University President, articulated the new facility’s strategic importance for the university’s future endeavors.
“Today’s inauguration of our new Board Room is a tribute to the vital role of the Board of Regents in guiding the future of Bukidnon State University. This room symbolizes trust, collaboration, and the shared responsibility we carry in advancing our mandate as a public university. As President, I am deeply grateful for the wisdom and support of our Board. May this new space inspire even more meaningful conversations, forward-looking policies, and decisions rooted in service to our students and communities. Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible,” Mirasol said.
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner and Chair of the BukSU Board of Regents Dr. Desiderio Rana Apag III, highlighted the strong support from the Commission on Higher Education for BukSU’s development initiatives.
“I remember the last time I was here, looking at how improvements are being made here. We will convert this into a smart university where we really can feel the presence of technology as well as the people who are already using it,” Chair Apag III said.
“Also, I would like all SUCs to become top-performing academic institutions, this is what it means for inclusive education, kaya marami pa tayong gawin (we still have a lot to do),” he added.
