
Bukidnon State University (BukSU) joined the 52nd Annual National Conference of the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (PACSB), held on April 10–11, 2025 at the Sapphire Hall, Manila Prince Hotel in Ermita, Manila, and brought home the “Biggest Delegation” Award, with the theme “Sustainability Meets Innovation: The Emerging Trends in Business Education.”
24 faculty delegates representing the main and satellite campuses represented BukSU to support the institution’s advocacy for inclusive and progressive academic leadership.
The conference gathered educators and leaders from various institutions to explore strategies for advancing business education in the country.
Day 1 of the conference featured focused discussions on the Triple Bottom Line in different business disciplines such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, and Entrepreneurship. Speakers emphasized the importance of equipping students not only with technical expertise but also with a deep understanding of ethical responsibility, environmental stewardship, and social impact.
On Day 2, Ms. Fe Avila, Acting Executive Director of the Department of Industry – Philippine Trade Training Center (DTI-PTTC), delivered the keynote address on Sustainable Business School Strategies through Innovation. The conference concluded with a collaborative workshop and the election of PACSB Officers for 2025.
Among the key takeaways were the importance of integrating sustainability into the curriculum, using innovative teaching tools, strengthening industry-academe partnerships, and developing business programs that respond to global challenges.
