Students Compete in APJC NetAcad Riders 2025

Bukidnon State University continued to showcase excellence in networking and Information Technology as two students, Nilo Garciano Jr. and James Rio Abaquita, represent the university in the Asia-Pacific, Japan, and China (APJC) NetAcad Riders 2025 competition.

Organized by Cisco, the APJC NetAcad Riders is a virtual networking skills contest that challenges students through online exams and Cisco Packet Tracer simulations. This competition provides a platform for students to apply their knowledge, sharpen their technical skills, and engage with aspiring IT professionals across the APJC region.

Garciano and Abaquita underwent rigorous training, completing CCNA 1 (Introduction to Networks) and CCNA 2 (Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials) as part of their preparation. Their performance in these courses, along with their problem-solving skills, earned them a place in the competition.

Under the mentorship of Mr. Raul Lecaros, a coach and faculty member from the College of Technologies (COT), they participated in the first round of the competition, held virtually. (Raul D. Lecaros/ Instructor COT  )
