
Three Bachelor of Physical Education students from Bukidnon State University (BukSU) secured second place in the video-making contest organized by the Department of Health Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center-Bukidnon, announced during the awarding ceremony on November 20, 2024.
Florelle Canedee G. Ladra, Brylle M. Binanlao, and Chelsey Mae A. Isla, the students behind the winning entry, received a cash prize of ₱5,000. Their video also earned the Provincial Choice Award, which came with an additional ₱2,000.
The competition was part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Participants were tasked with creating a three-minute video to raise awareness about the negative effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and communities, while also highlighting the importance of prevention and rehabilitation efforts.
BukSU’s National Service Training Program secured fourth place in the same competition and was awarded a consolation prize. Faculty members Mr. Neil Ryan Baquiler and Mr. Gerry Anar attended the event to represent the NSTP team. (BukSU-Information Unit)
