The official yearbook publication of Bukidnon State University, MATIGDA which in the Bukidnon tongue means achiever, is comprised of a team of college editors, and graphic and layout artists, managed by their Editor in Chief, Mr. Aaron Rod O. Corpuz, under the steadfast guidance of their adviser and the Director for Student Leadership and Development Unit of Bukidnon State University, Dr. Lorenzo B. Dinlayan III.

MATIGDA has once again completed its annual compilation of memories before the end of the academic year 2024 as planned, a remarkable achievement that has become well associated with the yearbook publication. This year marks MATIGDA’s decennial anniversary, which is ten years of providing their subscribers with quality and consistent service. This silver milestone reaffirms the yearbook publication’s significant status as a cornerstone of the university’s history.
Reputably timely in its publication, MATIGDA has continually preserved priceless moments for BukSU’s instructors, staff, and especially their subscribers, the students by capturing the spirit of the campus. Their excellence in making their craft is evident in the yearbooks they produced since the publication was first initiated. The yearbook represented more than just a rich collection of memories rather it was physical proof of all the extracurricular successes, academic accomplishments, and highlights from the BukSUan campus life that fell nothing short of the word “excellent”.
The MATIGDA team’s commitment and diligence to their subscribers and producing the yearbook are demonstrated by the team’s ability to accomplish their work on time and distribute the yearbook to the students before graduation. This was evident in the recently released 2024 yearbook distributed last June 5, 2024, days before the graduation rites of all the colleges commenced which was proof of the excellence their yearbook publication swore to uphold. They have continuously and consistently shown that they are dedicated to giving their subscribers a yearbook of the highest caliber that will be treasured as a memento.
MATIGDA is well-positioned to carry on its legacy of quality as it approaches its second decade of publication. Every year, the yearbook reflects the evolving university life while adhering to its primary purpose of preserving and commemorating the BukSU experience for the next batch of subscribers.
More than just a collection of images, the 2024 MATIGDA yearbook is a legacy, a time capsule, and a representation of the enduring spirit and excellence of Bukidnon State University. (Josephus Emmanuel Remollo, Associate Editor, BukSU-Collegianer. Photos: MATIGDA)
