
Bukidnon State University crafted with the public in the creation of the College of Medicine’s (COM) Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) through a multi-stakeholder’s consultation held on March 14, 2024 at the BukSU Mini-Theater, spearheaded by the BukSU’s Medical Education Specialist, Dr. Ruth Beltran, together with the BukSU COM Technical Working Group (TWG).
The event was attended by the top management of BukSU with both onsite and real-time online consulataion by several agencies attended by the Commission on Higher Education Region X (CHED-X), Department of Health X (DOH-X), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), medical professionals, students, and representatives from the Local Government Units (LGU) and Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities to mention a few.
An open discussion for the formation of the college’s VMGO centered on becoming a premier institution in Mindanao providing medical education to serve the Filipino people.
“We are very grateful to the participants for their valuable insights and recommendations which will help shape the future development of our College of Medicine,” the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs said. (with reports from OVPAA)
