Through the Office of the President, Bukidnon State University soft-launched the SMART BukSU Analytics Dashboard today as part of BukSU’s breakthrough. The Dashboard, programmed by the Bukidnon State University- Information and Communication Technology Services Unit (BukSU-ICTSU), claimed to be a powerful tool to assist the university in facilitating informed decision-making.
The programmers were BukSU alumni and employees in persons of Mr. John Carl Mier, Mr. Rodel Sales, Mr. Kid Romart Mediante, Mr. Earnie M. Actub, Mr. Gerald John S. Hiponia, Mr. Loyd Anthony Gonzales, and headed by Mr. Donald P. Donasco- ICTSU Head.
“As BukSU faces a fast-paced advancement in technological developments in the educational landscape, data-driven insights are essential for optimizing resources, improving administrative and academic outcomes, and enhancing overall efficiency. Under the leadership of Dr. Joy Molina-Mirasol, the realization of an Executive Dashboard- with its prime name the SMART BukSU Analytics, holds a primary objective, which is to centralize and analyze data from various university departments and sources, providing the administrators with real-time insights into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends for better and informed decision-making.” the Office of the President (OP) said.
The SMART BukSU Analytics displayed relevant metrics and visualizations based on the data from each unit in the University. It seamlessly integrates data from disparate sources such as student information systems, academic databases, financial records, and institutional data.
“This comprehensive approach enabled a holistic view of the university’s operations. Exploring the data dynamically is well presented through interactive charts, graphs, and icons, drilling down into specific metrics, periods, and demographic segments. This interactivity will visualize more profound insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.” OP added. (Ms. Astred Jill A. Catolpos, Head Presidential Technical Operations)
