MALAYBALAY CITY – Bukidnon State University aspired a future collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on plant conservation after the Regional Executive Director (RED) Dr. Henry A. Arnado paid a visit to the Botanical Gardens and Herbarium on June 20, 2023.
University President, Dr. Joy M. Mirasol and Ms. Joanne Vivien B. Necosia, Director of Presidential Management, were also on hand to greet and assist Dr. Arnado. The BGH Director, Dr. Lesley C. Lubos was also present during the visit.
The relationship between academic institutions and government agencies was essential for effective conservation efforts and sustainable management of natural resources. These collaborations can lead to joint research projects, educational initiatives, and programs that benefit both organizations and the broader environment. It’s a positive sign that both the university administration and the DENR are actively engaging in discussions to work together on important environmental issues. (BukSU BGH)
