MALAYBALAY CITY – Dr. Lesley C. Lubos, BukSU Research Director, received Asia’s Golden Icon Award for being recognized as Asia’s Renowned Botanist and Outstanding Bryologist during the Asia’s Golden Awards 2023 held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom, Waterfront Hotel Cebu City on June 2, 2023.
Dr. Lubos has been in the academic service for 28 years and in the administrative service for 21 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, his Master of Science in Biology from Central Mindanao University, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from the same institution under CHED-MAEP Scholarship grant and the Department of Biological Science (DBS) National University of Singapore (NUS) through a Research Fellowship Grant of Tan Chin Kee Foundation, Singapore.
Dr. Lubos has also authored several books with ISBN and Copyright as well as various scientific/professional refereed journal publications related to his specialization.
Asia’s Golden Icon Awards 2023 honors individuals and companies that have made a significant impact on the community or demonstrated excellence in their field.
The awardees were carefully selected by the jury to maintain the right balance of competence, experience, and objectivity. Asia’s Golden Icon Awards (AGIA) was recognized as one of the most prestigious industry awards in the country. (Information Unit with a report from BGH)
