MALAYBALAY CITY – Bukidnon State University has honored 71 recipients ofthe first-ever Bansagen Awards for the different categories during the Awards Night at the university gymnasium on December 17, 2022.
Bansagen is the annual award given by BukSU,through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee to outstanding employees in the university spearheaded by the Human Resource and Development Unit.
Dr. Rea Rita R. Muegue, Head of the Human Resource and Development Unit, said that the Bansagen Awards has aimed to provide a distinct identity reflecting the institutional outcomes and values of the university in adherence to its core values.
“It is designed to encourage creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, integrity, and productivity in the public
service by recognizing and rewarding officials and employees of the university, both individually or in groups, for their suggestions, inventions, superior accomplishments and other personal evidences
which contribute to the efficiency, economy, or other improvement in the university or government operations or for other extraordinary acts or services in the public agencies,” she said.
Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, Officer In-charge of the Office of the President said BukSU is indeed really worldclass.
“The most precious gift that the awardees have given to the university is their ‘time and talent’ because many of the awardees have been in service for how many decades and have received a lot of awards
already,” said the OIC who graced the event.
Dr. Oscar B. Cabañelez, former University President, emphasized the importance of ‘hard work’ in his message.
“In my 45 years of service, what I would like to emphasize is for everybody to continue to participate and work hard until the end in order for us to really achieve the mission and vision of the university,” he said.
“Continue extending your full support and participation. Continue to spend your time, talent, and energy for the good of the university,” he added.
Mr. Dante S. Victoria Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance, also said that the ‘love for their job and efficient service to the university stakeholders’ are the qualities that the awardees have in common.
The event was attended by all employees from the main, annex, and satellite campuses.
