MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) The Bukidnon State University administration announces the suspension of classes in all levels from March 16 to March 28, 2020 and other measures due to COVID-19. The suspension also means the midterm examinations scheduled from March 16 to 20, 2020 have to be postponed until further notice.
This is based on Memorandum No. 043, S. 2020 issued by Dr. Oscar B. Cabanelez, University President, on March 13, 2020 based on local and national government policy issuance.
Earlier in the day, Malaybalay City Mayor Florencio T. Flores Jr issued Executive Order No. 79, series of 2020 prescribing measures to be implemented in the city to prevent the entry and spread of COVID-19. President Rodrigo Duterte declared the Philippines under a State of Public Health Emergency on March 12.
The university will issue a separate advisory on the suspension of classes in its 16 satellite campuses in Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental, pending pronouncements from the local government units in their area. (Office of the President – Information and Publication Service)
