MALAYBALAY CITY (Information and Publication Service) Nine graduates of the Bukidnon State University College of Law were among the 1,800 who have passed the 2018 Bar Examinations, according to a statement from the college based on results provided by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
Eight of the recent passers were first time takers.
The new lawyers from BukSU are the following:
BukSU obtained a 26.67 percent passing rate for first takers, which is above the national passing rate of 22.07 percent, said Atty. Sherrymae O. Velos-Decang, COL dean.
A total of 8,158 took the November 2018 Bar Exams.
In 2017, when eight graduates passed the bar, BukSU –College of Law obtained an over-all rating of 20.51 percent, way ahead of four other state universities and colleges (SUCs) offering law in Mindanao with 31.82 percent rate for first-takers.
