
The Information Technology students from Bukidnon State University (BukSU) clinched third place in the competitive Student Category of the Reverse Pitching Competition during the Digital Malaybalay City (DIGI-MC) 2025 event, held from October 29 to 31 at the university.
The Reverse Pitching Competition, spearheaded by DevCon Bukidnon, showcased student-led innovations that address real-world challenges of local government units and communities.
Student innovators from across the provinces of Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental vied at the BukSU Gymnasium on October 31. The BukSU team is composed of fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students Noel C. Raterta Jr., David Job Lolo, Rex Joshua Larot, Vivian Bangcoyo, and Vincent Paul Miguel.
They presented a digital solution, “LegalITEase” (pronounced as legalities), which aimed at resolving the document tracking and management challenges faced by the Legal Unit of the local government unit (LGU) of Malaybalay City. The system was designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in handling legal documents.
Team coaches Mr. Rov Japheth G. Oracion and Mr. Joseph L. Abella guided the students in transforming their innovative idea into a practical civic technology solution that promotes good governance through IT.
A special recognition was given to Mr. Edjamen Flores, a BSIT-2 student, who competed in the Professional Category as an intern in a partner company, and bagged the Champion title.
